As AI commoditizes routine legal tasks, the strategic distinction for law firms and legal departments is the judgment, empathy, and well-being of their human talent. However, as organizations integrate AI-driven wellness and productivity tools to support their teams, they often inadvertently create a “Privacy Paradox” that threatens both organizational culture and compliance with state-specific privacy mandates.
This session moves beyond the “how-to” of AI implementation to address the “how-to” of AI governance. Alexandria (Lexi) Lutz and Mark Calaguas will lead an executive-level briefing on the critical intersection of the evolving regulatory environment and the ethical duty of care. We will explore how law firm and legal department leadership can architect responsible AI policies that protect sensitive employee data while proactively addressing the mental health crisis in a manner that upholds the professional independence and integrity of the Bar.
