Leading Well-Being
in Legal Organizations
in Legal Organizations
A six-month leadership program for Colorado’s legal community — building the skills, strategies, and peer connections to make well-being a lasting core value in your organization.
About The Program
Where Leadership Meets Well-Being
The Colorado Legal Well-Being Cohort is a structured, six-month leadership development program designed specifically for organizational leaders across Colorado’s legal community — from law firms and in-house legal departments to public sector offices and nonprofit organizations.
The program follows six learning modules implemented through monthly meetings, tools and resources, and self-reflective exercises. It is designed to improve your workplace well-being leadership skills while connecting you with a peer community of leaders doing the same work.
Whether you are planting the first seeds of a well-being culture or scaling initiatives that are already underway, this program meets you where you are — and moves you forward.

Current and Relevant
Content is grounded in the latest national and Colorado-specific data, including emerging challenges facing the profession today.
Curriculum
Six Modules. One Coherent Arc.
The program moves from understanding the business case for well-being leadership, through systemic and cultural change, to building something that lasts — with new content woven throughout to reflect where the field is today.
Modules 1 & 2
Establishes the foundation: why well-being leadership matters now, how to make the case internally, and what the data tells us about the state of lawyer well-being in Colorado and nationally.
New: Generational Dynamics
Modules 3 & 4
Explores the Six Goal Areas of lawyer well-being and how to approach real organizational change — with new frameworks for psychological safety, identity and belonging, and the often-overlooked weight of vicarious trauma.
Modules 5 & 6
Provides a roadmap for making well-being initiatives last — leveraging changemakers and stakeholders, measuring what matters, and culminating in the presentation of your personal 90-day action plan.
The 90-Day Action Plan
A Plan Built for Where You Are
One of the program’s most distinctive features is the 90-day action plan — a living document you build across all six modules and present to your cohort at the final session.
Planting Seeds
You’re new to well-being leadership and looking for a meaningful place to begin. This track focuses on building awareness, identifying one internal champion, and taking one visible, concrete first step.
Growing the Garden
You have initiatives in motion and want to deepen them. This track focuses on connecting your work to measurable outcomes, identifying gaps, and bringing greater intentionality to what you’ve already built.
Scaling the Work
You have an established program and are thinking about legacy. This track focuses on sustainability, succession, and influence — embedding what you’ve built so it outlasts you and inspires others.
The Cohort Experience
You Won’t Do This Alone
The cohort structure is one of the program’s most powerful features. It creates a space for active participation, honest conversation, and real collaboration across Colorado’s legal community.
Build relationships with leaders across law firms, in-house departments, public offices, and nonprofit organizations who are navigating the same challenges and committed to the same goals.
Each session opens with a peer share from the previous module’s homework, creating regular accountability and making the learning more grounded, honest, and practically useful.
Accountability partners and peer feedback on your action steps ensures you’re not just absorbing ideas — you’re testing them against real experience.
